Birthday Balloon Wreath

For my son's 9th birthday I decided to make this balloon wreath that I saw online at pinterest ( don't you just love that website)  To make this easy wreath you will need the following:

-A straw wreath ( I found this one at michael's and used a 40% coupon)

-Balloons, this wreath took about 13 bags of 25 balloons found at the Dollar Tree

-Pins, I used regular straight pens or you can use floral pins ( but they are pretty expensive an you will need a lot to complete this wreath)

-Pipe cleaners for some extra decoration ( Optional)

(Wreath making supplies)

After you gather your supplies simply place the unblown balloons on the balloon with the pins and continue until the wreath is covered and this is what you end up with :

Birthday Invitations

As promised in my earlier post I am getting things ready for my sons' 9th birthday party.  I finished their party invitations  and this is what I came up with......

I used Adobe Photoshop to add the writing ( I downloaded the lego font from a website online for free) and images.  I printed the invitations out using vistaprint ( you can usually find deals for free prints,  just pay for shipping) or you could print the invitations out on you at home printer as well. Christmas Gift

I made this super easy gift for my son's teacher for Christmas.  I used a bead organizer and added some daily supplies that a teacher would use.  I also added the lego snowman ornament because my son is completely into legos and wanted to give her something lego and it was black and white so it matched perfectly.

Teacher Gifts

Here are a few ideas for some teachers gifts.

First I got a glass vase (dollar tree) and 2 packs of #2 pencils and glued them all the way around the vase then  I tired it with a ribbon.  After that I wrote a tag " Thanks for helping my bloom"

Candy Bar Reindeer and Snowmen

I have been busy lately with holiday crafts and here is just one of them that I finished yesterday..... Reindeer Candy Bars for my son's classroom holiday party.

I took the small snack size hershey bars and wrapped them in brown card stock ( on sale at michael's for .25 a sheet) Then I used a 1 inch circle cutter for the nose and 8mm size eyes all glued on and finally the antlers I used a darker card stock paper and cut them out by hand.   I did see where someone used a circuit but I don't have one:(  I am sure that would have been much easier and faster but I think mine came out just fine.  I hope the kids enjoy them!

I also made snowmen candy bars for the teachers.  They are made the same way except I wrapped a "normal" size hershey bar and wrapped them in white card stock.  Then I took some fleece and glued it around the top and tied it at the top.  After that I took some more fleece and made a scraf and then added some eyes ( beads) and used a marker to draw the face and nose.
